FSCJ board chair asks to curtail president’s expenses, entertainment

The chairman of the Florida State College at Jacksonville board of trustees has asked the college to implement interim policies aimed at curtailing spending that could impact “public perception of propriety.” The policy changes come in response to a public records request made by the Times-Union for two years’ worth of expenses, reimbursements and payments made on the behalf of President Steve Wallace as part of the paper’s ongoing investigation into the college. The college provided 2,000 pages of documents to the newspaper last month. (A story detailing the findings will run in Sunday’s paper.)
